| "I started working with Neil about 3 years ago. As a coach and teacher, his
passion for guiding actors how to truly live in the moment, and actually
learn how to practically create real, truthful characters is amazing.
Neil's knowledge of the business, and the work that actually goes into
acting as a craft is honest, and accurate! A BFA graduate in Theatre, I
have years of technical actor training, but when I began working with Neil,
I started to learn things about my work and myself as an artist, that I had
never tapped into before. His patience and ability to zero in on exactly
what each individual needs, is really phenomenal. Having recently been cast
by Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron to play opposite Emmy-winning,
Oscar-nominee Woody Harrelson, I realized I must be doing something right,
and can honestly say Neil's work with me has had a huge impact on the jobs I
have booked over the last few years. I never stop learning from Neil. His
workshops are informative, fun, hard work, and full of revelations. Working
with Neil is a gift for an actor. Take this opportunity seriously." A.M.

Neil has worked in the film industry for 23 years. He has been a professional actor and acting coach for 12 years. As an actor, Neil has appeared in dozens of television commercials, TV series (Stargate, Outer Limits, Breaking News, DaVinci’s Inquest, Cold Squad, etc.) and feature films (most recent productions being “Dr. Dolittle 3” and "A Little Thing Called Murder" for Lifestyle TV in the USA).
As an acting coach, Neil has taught over a thousand actors. He founded an acting academy in Vancouver and developed the acting curriculum. He’s trained actors from the initiate to the professional.
Many of his students have gone on to work in commercials, TV series and feature films. His specialty is taking the untrained but inspired actor up to the professional level so he or she starts working and exchanging their acting talents with the TV and film industry. But the experienced actor will also find enlightening techniques from his instruction.
Neil’s training as an actor was most influenced by the legendary acting coach Warren Robertson. Warren has trained tens of thousands of actors many of whom have won Academy Awards – Jessica Lange and Diane Keaton to name only two of them. Through Warren, Neil has learned the fine art of acting and the certainty of what good acting is, and how an actor can be brought to that level.
